Indian startup Solavio has developed a budget-friendly, transportable robotic cleansing answer for rooftop PV arrays and ground-mounted photo voltaic installations. Its Eco Bot answer makes use of a tubular dry-cleaning methodology to scrub panels through airflow and friction from an anti-static microfiber fabric.

“The pace of the robotic and the cleansing unit could be modified primarily based on the quantity and sort of mud,” Suraj Mohan, the co-founder of Solavio instructed pv journal

The bot, which options an onboard lithium battery, could be manually shifted to serve different rows of panels. The antistatic microfiber fabric doesn’t bodily harm the panels.

“We’ve got even used licensed international third-party companies to check and certify the bot over an accelerated interval (10,000 cycles) masking the lifetime of the plant,” stated Mohan. “There aren’t any limitations on steady use, because of our onboard electronics cooling chamber.”

The battery makes use of Japanese cell know-how and could be charged with a standard AC charger, an AC quick charger, an onboard PV panel, or a devoted docking station within the subject.

The Eco Bot is cloud-based, enabling distant monitoring, management, and spare components administration. The bots could be managed through onboard buttons, a distant fob, or an Web of Issues (IoT) dashboard.
